Product Description
Chevrolet Studio's nearly completed fiberglass model of the 1970 Monte Carlo was photographed in late August, 1968 in the Design Center's Model Assembly Room. This is probably the earliest photo taken of a production Monte Carlo body. Notice that the interior and the side glass had not yet been installed. Early fiberglass models, like this Monte Carlo, were built for review by GM's Board of Directors prior to being given the final approval for production.
