This great photograph shows the Olds Rocket V8 before it was branded as such. On the valve cover it says Kettering. Charles Kettering had such engineering success at GM that his name is fitting there but it was not to be allowed and thus the changed to Rocket. One of the things that make the iimage great is that it honors Kettering.
