Pontiac Studio took this proposal for the 1964 full-sized Pontiac program outside for a review in early May, 1961. The studio badged their model as the "Pontiac Astra". We can assume this proposal had support from Pontiac management because see-through clay models complete with cast-plaster passengers were expensive and difficult to produce.
