Here is a 1961 sports car concept that GM never showed to the public. This 1/12th scale model was hand-crafted by a young man who participated in GM's Fisher Body Craftsman's Guild. The FBCG was held yearly from 1930 to 1968 except for the WWII years. In the early years of the competition, participants crafted models of Fisher Body's trademark Napoleonic coach. In 1937, scale model cars were added to the competition. Thousands of entries were submitted each year. Winners of the FBCG competition received money to be used for scholarships. Many of the winners went on to become designers at major automotive companies.
